The headquarters of the Association of Literary, Scholars, Critics, and Writers (ALSCW) is located in the Department of English at Catholic University, and regularly hosts a variety of events on campus, around the country, and abroad.

The ALSCW strives to promote excellence in literary criticism and scholarship, and works to ensure that literature thrives in both scholarly and creative environments. The organization publishes two journals of exceptional quality: Literary Imagination (Oxford University Press) and Literary Matters (http://www.literarymatters.org).

The presence of the ALSCW on campus and the close involvement of Catholic University faculty with the organization create a wealth of opportunities for our students and others in the university community to engage with many of the finest literary minds in the world.
