The Irish Summer Institute at Catholic University is now accepting applications for its 2024 summer session.

The program will run from June 1st until July 6th. It is open to all enrolled students at Catholic University, both undergraduate and graduate. While abroad, enrolled students travel together, and are taught by Catholic University professors -- Dr. Patrick Tuite and Dr. Gregory Baker -- on site in Dublin and in Cork in two credit-bearing classes. Both classes may count as elective credit for the English major and the Irish Studies minor. More information on how to apply to the summer program (including an itinerary of daily activities and course syllabi) can be found at this link at CUAbroad. The deadline for applications is March 1st 2024.

A number of generous financial awards have also been made available especially to Catholic University students for this program. Interested students are encouraged to apply for support from the Twohig-Sullivan Family Fund for Irish Studies.

Students with questions about the Irish Summer Institute, or about applications for financial support, are strongly encouraged to reach out to Dr. Gregory Baker at bakerg@cua.edu.
