Dr. Patrick Tuite is an Associate Professor in the departments of Drama and English. He also serves as the Chair of Drama. Dr. Tuite earned a B.A. in the Program of Liberal Studies at the University of Notre Dame, an M.A. in Theatre Arts at San Francisco State University and a Ph.D. in Theatre History at the University of Wisconsin. He has published articles in Youth Theatre Journal, Theatre InSight, The Drama Review, and Women Writing. His essays have also appeared in anthologies published by Greenwood Press, Rutgers University Press, Palgrave-MacMillan, and Routledge. In 2010, Susquehanna University Press published Dr. Tuite's book, Theatre of Crisis: The Performance of Power in the Kingdom of Ireland, 1662-1692. He is currently working on a second monograph, Dramaturgy and Monarchy: New Play Development in the Kingdom of Ireland, 1662-1667. Dr. Tuite regularly teaches for Catholic University's study abroad program in Ireland, the Irish Summer Institute.
