Matthew Ryan's (Ph.D. student) paper, "Urban Space and the Threshold of Freedom in Anna Burns's Milkman" won the award for best graduate student paper at the American Conference for Irish Studies Mid-Atlantic and New England regional meeting.
Dr. Susan M. Felch’s (Ph.D. 1991) edition of the works of Anne Lock won the 2022 Josephine Roberts Award for a Scholarly Edition from the Society for Early Modern Women and Gender. Dr. Felch is Professor of English (Emerita) at Calvin University.
Dr. Lilla Kopár's article, "Strategies of Visual Storytelling: Sigurd the Dragon-slayer at Ramsundsberget, Sweden. A Case Study” has recently been published in Fidele Signaculum. Zena Hitz will give the inaugural Cornerstone Distinguished Lecture on “Learning, Liberation, and Consolation” on February 14th, 2:30-4pm in Heritage Hall. Dr. Hitz is a noted author and philosopher, as well as a tutor at St John’s College, Annapolis.
