Dr. Lilla Kopár's book chapter on runic epigraphy titled “Inscriptions on Stone Monuments: Methodological Concerns” recently appeared in Old English Runes: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Approaches and Methodologies with a Concise and Selected Guide to Terminologies. Dr. Taryn Okuma
was invited to present the 8th Annual O'Donovan Humanities Lecture at Oakcrest School in Vienna, VA. Her talk, "Why Read Memoir?" was on April 1, 2023.

Dr. Megan Murton presented a paper on “Chaucer’s Boethian Refrains” at the Sewanee Medieval Colloquium on March 25, 2023.

Dr. William Gonch's review of "The Preface: American Authorship in the Twentieth Century" by Ross K. Tangedal was published in Authorship.

Dr. William Gonch was invited to participate in "Reconsidering Flannery O'Connor," the NEH Summer Institute hosted at Georgia College & State University in June 2023

Matt Steinhafel's (Ph.D. student) review, "'All the Fun’s in How You Say a Thing': Performing the Poetry of Robert Frost," will be published in the forthcoming Robert Frost Review (vol. 32, 2023).

Vermilion Literary Magazine published Issue 4 | Spring 2023 on April 17th. The issue includes poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, screenwriting, and visual art submitted from members across the university community. The magazine is currently accepting submissions for Issue 5 | Winter 2023.
