On Friday, April 17, the English Society Ball brought together a vibrant community of friends and family to celebrate the achievements of the students and faculty who make up the English Department. The ball was styled in a pastel, floral Jane Austen theme and was complete with delicious food, a book exchange, and festive English country dancing. In addition to special department awards given to outstanding students, the graduating senior class was also recognized for their special contributions to this program. This event was made possible through the hard work of Dr. Taryn Okuma and the English Society students, and it will hopefully become a recurring event that gives the department a chance to celebrate all the people who make it so special every year.
