For the Fall 2020 semester, we are offering two types of appointments. Synchronous virtual appointments are held via Zoom and allow you to meet one-on-one with one of our Writing Center Consultants. Asynchronous virtual appointments allow you to send your writing to us and then receive written feedback. Instructions for making both synchronous and asynchronous appointments can be found below. You can also consider making an asynchronous appointment in combination with a synchronous appointment to talk through the written feedback. Click here to make your appointment.
For Synchronous Virtual Appointments:
Use the “Make an Appointment with the Writing Center” link on our homepage. That will take you to your Cardinal Success page, where you can click on the blue "Get Assistance" button in the upper right corner of the page. You will then need to answer a few questions:
What type of appointment would you like to schedule? Academic Support
Please select the type of support you need: Writing Center Appointment
Please select a service: Choose from the given options, the one that best describes your writing project.
What location do you prefer? Mullen Library
Who would you like to meet with? Choose one or more tutors to view their availability or leave blank to view all the tutors' availability.
After you've answered the above questions you will be redirected to a calendar view of the available appointments. Select the time that works best for you. When you confirm your appointment, please include in the comment box a brief description of the writing project, which course it is for, and what you would like to focus on in the session. After your appointment is confirmed, you will receive an email containing a link to your scheduled Zoom session. You will be able to use that link to log in to the Zoom meeting at your appointed time.
For Asynchronous Virtual Appointments:
